| * Friday, April 18, 2008 * Hi all, Yes it must have been an emotional departure, not only for Shermaine, but for the rest as well. However, we live in a globalized world, and there are more than enough ways to keep in touch with one another as you guys have so clearly pointed it out! Sms, msn, email, snail mail, webcam, you name it, and we have it! Keep each other updated at all times to be connected with one another...yes, you guys may be separated, but if the effort is put into maintaining the friendship, no matter where your friends are, the relationship will still remain steadfast and strong. It is the same when you leave WSS at the end of secondary 4. Even when you are in the same country, effort needs to be put into maintaining a friendship, what's more overseas! Rather than getting emotional over it, perhaps you guys might want to organize a lunch or dinner get together just before Shermaine leaves. Make good use of the 'physical' time that you guys have with one another, ok? All the best, Shermaine. I hope you will have a fruitful and fulfilling time over at Australia. Please feel free to leave any messages or posts on the 1E3 blog. I am sure that your friends will be more than glad to see you posting stuff for them! Take care, ok? :) I will see the rest of you on Monday then. Have a good weekend and study hard for the upcoming exams! Miss T. Tan |
